Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetic retinopathy is a diabetic eye disease that causes damage to the blood vessels of the retina and cause blurry vision or loss of vision completely. It can also be the cause of other conditions such as pre mature cataracts, double vision, or mini strokes in different parts of your eye and optic nerve. Poorly controlled blood sugar puts you at a higher risk for diabetic retinopathy.
Blepharoplasty For Dermatochalasis
Dermatochalasis is when your eyelid has extra skin that has grown and made your eyelids droop. The excess skin may overlap causing a hood-like look where you would normally apply eye shadow. The surgery to remove the extra skin and muscle is referred to as a blepharoplasty and can be covered by your insurance.
