Staar Visian ICL

The Staar Visian ICL®, or Implantable Collamer Lens, is a type of phakic intraocular lens (phakic IOL or PIOL). It is a lens that can be placed inside the eye to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, and eventually astigmatism, instead of the patient having to wear a contact lens or glasses. It is made from a collagen polymer and is implanted directly behind the iris (the colored part of the eye) and directly in front of the natural lens of the eye, without performing cataract surgery or refractive lens exchange.

Dr. Clark has been implanting Staar lenses for almost 25 years.
