Electrolysis for eyelashes and eyebrows

When unwanted eyelashes or eyebrow hairs are growing in the wrong location or wrong direction, such as trichiasis or distichiasis touching and abrading the cornea, electrolysis can permanently remove the lash by ablating the lash follicle from which it grows. This is a more definitive therapy than simply plucking the lash every month or so. It is performed with our radio-frequency probe and is covered by insurance if the lash is in danger of causing corneal problems. Of course, electrolysis may also be performed for cosmetic reasons.
