Nodule removal

Corneal nodules are protruding areas of scar tissue on the surface of the cornea. They may be caused by abnormal tear oils, dry eye, contact lenses, inflammation or a combination of causes. They can cause discomfort, interfere with contact lens wear, and interfere with the ability to correct the vision with glasses and/or cataract surgery. Fortunately, corneal nodules are easily removed in our Sewickley office microsurgical suite in a very comfortable, brief procedure.
