Intacs® for keratoconus

Intacs® can be used in conjunction with corneal crosslinking to improve the abnormal shape of the cornea and enable a more comfortable contact lens fit. In many cases, contact lenses can even be eliminated by this therapy.

Intacs® are acrylic supports which are placed within the cornea to add support and structure to the abnormally thin and warped cornea in keratoconus. They are placed using the same femtosecond laser which Dr. Clark uses to perform LASIK. He has been implanting Intacs® for over 10 years.
