Dr. Robert J. Pavlis, MD
After undergraduate studies, medical school and residency at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Pavlis became an ophthalmologist with the US Air Force, stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH, where he spent two years prior to returning to the Pittsburgh area.
He is a founding member of Ophthalmology Associates, having established the practice here in Sewickley with Dr. Princeton Nadler, MD, in 1965.
A very early adopter of phacoemulsification, the modern technique for cataract surgery, Dr. Pavlis has always been on the forefront of development in ophthalmology.
He currently practices medical ophthalmology and is an avid bicyclist and kayaker!
